This is a 6-month contract role with our client in the West metro of Minneapolis, MN. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. We are looking for a Report Developer who knows how to turn raw data into clear, meaningful reporting. This role works closely with technical teams and business users to design, build, and maintain dashboards, data models, and SQL-based reporting. Responsibilities Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and data models Write strong, efficient T-SQL for querying, reporting, and analysis Translate business needs into clear reporting solutions Work with SMEs and stakeholders to understand requirements Support data quality improvements and troubleshoot reporting issues Document reporting logic and data models in a simple, readable way Help guide best practices for reporting and visualization Qualifications 4+ years of experience in report development Deep experience with Power BI, including DAX and data modeling Strong T-SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and performance tuning Experience working with relational databases Background partnering with business teams to gather requirements Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment Preferred Skills Experience with Power BI Administration Familiarity with ETL tools or data pipelines Background in financial, operational, or manufacturing reporting Comfortable working in hybrid environments Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple way Our Vetting Process At Emergent Staffing, we work hard to find the software engineers who are the right fit for our clients.
