We’re looking for a passionate Research Analyst to join our team and lead the deployment of analytical tools that drive decision-making and enhance user experiences.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Analyst to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. This role requires quick thinking, rapid data analysis, and decisive action. The ideal candidate will efficiently curate and process information, identify real-time trends, and provide the Sales team with actionable insights. Success in this role demands urgency, multitasking under pressure, and the agility to adapt strategies to maximize profits and mitigate risks.

Base Salary: $65,000

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Monitoring and Intelligence Gathering:
    • Track and report on live event announcements, including concert tours, sporting events, theater productions, and festivals.
    • Monitor for presale and on sale date announcements, access and promotional codes, sale registrations, and expected pricing details.
    • Stay informed about supply and demand dynamics, and historical and speculative sale performance.
    • Regularly check social media platforms, artist fan pages, and official event channels for updates.
    • Leverage tools like Google Trends, Spotify, YouTube, and other digital platforms to gauge audience interest and event popularity.
    • Establish and maintain communication with box offices and ticketing outlets to obtain critical event information.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect and organize relevant data to assist in purchasing and procurement decisions, including historical sales data, market demand, and competitor behavior.
    • Identify patterns and trends to forecast ticket pricing and demand levels.
    • Conduct risk/reward analyses for potential buys, factoring in expected margins, inventory levels, and market volatility.
    • Create clear, actionable reports for buy managers, including recommended spending strategies and margin projections.
      • Collaboration and Communication:
        • Partner with buy managers and other stakeholders to align on goals and strategies, and assist with purchase operations when needed.
        • Provide timely updates and insights to ensure informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
        • Work closely with other team members to maximize profits.
        • Oversee contractor research support
        • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in research, analysis and data visualization tools to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, Quicksight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability Monday - Friday 8am-4pm ET is critical in this role

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with live event ticket marketplaces, box office operations, or event ticketing systems.
  • Proficiency in pricing models, revenue optimization and predictive analytics.
  • Knowledge of popular culture trends, fan engagement strategies, preferably in a resale industry.
  • Experience leveraging streaming metrics, influencer trends, or fan communities to predict demand
