About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and continuous improvement of innovative baked products, ensuring strong technical foundations in raw materials management and supplier qualification.
This position requires a solid understanding of food science, baking technology, and ingredient functionality, combined with strong analytical and operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development Support
- Collaborate in the development of new baked products from concept to launch, supporting formulation, validation, and industrial scale-up.
- Reformulate and optimize existing recipes to meet nutritional, cost, performance, and quality targets.
- Prepare and document technical reports from industrial trials.
- Conduct and monitor shelf life and stability studies to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Raw Material & Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain detailed raw material specifications, ensuring alignment with regulatory, quality, and operational requirements.
- Manage and monitor the approved supplier index, ensuring compliance with internal standards and continuous performance evaluation.
- Lead the homologation process of alternative ingredients and contra-types, including technical validation, benchmarking, risk assessment, and cost evaluation.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives through technical assessments of new suppliers and ingredients.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance:
- Work closely with Marketing, Production, Procurement, and Quality Assurance to ensure technical feasibility and successful project execution.
- Apply scientific and analytical methods to solve technical challenges related to product quality, process efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Ensure all activities comply with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and internal quality systems.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, ingredient innovations, and regulatory changes relevant to bakery products.
