Research Scientist(contract), Pre-Pivotal Biologics Development
Key Responsibilities:
Proficiency with CRISPR nuclease screening.
Experience with NGS library preparation and INDEL calling using Illumina sequencing platforms.
Lead TLA and long-read sequencing efforts using PacBio and/or Oxford Nanopore technologies.
Support process improvements for increased speed and efficiency to generate highly productive, high quality, robust cell lines that meet all regulatory requirements with high quality documentation.
Willing to learn hands-on laboratory operations such as molecular biology, shake flask, bench scale bioreactor and novel culture platforms.
Contribute to written technical reports, Regulatory filing support, present in group meetings, and work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
B.S/M.S. and ?10 years, Ph.D. and 0-2 years of experience in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering).
Excellent communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills and aptitude for creative problem solving.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Experience in statistics and data analysis (e.g. JMP, Spotfire).
Experience designing, constructing, and evaluating vectors to express recombinant proteins of various formats.
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and adhere to timelines.
Ability to think critically and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
