Assist with research, particularly database management, data analysis, and field data collection for a project funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to conduct multistate monitoring and research on tidal marsh birds and their habitat from Maine to Virginia. Typical hiring salary for this part-time, 20-hours per week, soft-money funded position is $34,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Technical skills in data management, particularly Program R and Microsoft Excel, including using code to proof and manage data Ability to work independently on wildlife data collection, particularly bird banding, mist netting, and vegetation surveying Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Demonstrated success publishing manuscripts and delivering presentations Ability to travel, normally requiring a Maine driver’s license.
