Research Development Design Engineer Apply
We are seeking a hands-on and innovative R&D/Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who thrives in a fast-paced, design-driven environment. You will play a key role in developing and prototyping new products, improving existing systems, and integrating smart technologies into mechanical systems using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and process control platforms such as PLCs, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept to production.Create and revise detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical, and software engineering to prototype, test, and refine designs.Program and implement control systems using PLC, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino for proof-of-concept and production solutions.Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing existing systems and proposing design enhancements.Present design concepts and project updates using Microsoft Office 365 applications.Maintain documentation for designs, testing, and product development workflows.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field – OR – a minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering/design experience.Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.Experience with PLC/Raspberry Pi/Arduino programming for mechanical/electrical integration.Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and diagrams.Fluent with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Skills (Not Required):Experience with rapid prototyping or 3D printing.Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials selection.Knowledge of control system design or mechatronics.
