Job Description: Schedule :- CST Day shift during training period. Schedule will then be on alternating 2 week schedule to 12 hours shift: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday on week 1, then Wednesday and Thursday week 2)- we need someone who is very flexible.

Expected Skill:- Excel skill, PPE wearing, Attention to detail, Must me able to lift 25 LBS.


We are looking for a Microbiologist II to perform a variety of tasks in a manufacturing laboratory setting. Duties typically consist of preparing sterile media, sterilizing laboratory tools, shake flask inoculation and monitoring, direct microscopy, plating, and adhering to clean room protocols.
Job Functions
a) Assist with general lab duties which include but are not limited to: preparation of sterile growth medium, stock solutions, and reagents, as well as general lab cleaning and dishwashing.
b) Perform aseptic sampling of manufacturing process.
c) Perform direct microscopy and plating while adhering to clean room protocols
d) Prepare, inoculate, manage shake flasks using aseptic technique.
e) Prepare samples for analysis and analyze samples using a variety of analytical instruments such as a microscope and spectrophotometer.
f) Enter process and analytical data into Microsoft Excel.
g) Provide experiment coverage, as needed, on evenings and, occasionally, weekends.
h) Participate in safety initiatives within the organization.
i) Other duties as assigned

***Minimum Qualifications*
j) 4-year college degree in a science field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, or related field.
k) Laboratory experience via academic or prior position(s).
l) Capable of independent work, but seeks clarification, as needed, prior to starting tasks to provide deliverables.
m) Display good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
n) Computer literacy including Microsoft Excel.
o) Knowledge of standard safe laboratory practices and a commitment to working safely.
p) Competency in aseptic culture techniques.
*Preferred Qualifications*
Experience in the set-up and operation of lab-scale bioreactors.
