Through world‑class science and innovative crop solutions, their teams work internationally to transform how crops are grown and protected.About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Scientist to join the Bioperformance group within the Bioscience function at an international research centre based at Jealott’s Hill.The Bioperformance group conducts research into the ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Elimination) behaviour of active ingredients in both target and non‑target species. This work supports the understanding of product performance, selectivity, resistance, and translation from laboratory studies to field application.The successful candidate will support a variety of product development and market support projects, generating high‑quality scientific data using laboratory, glasshouse and analytical techniques.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide scientific and technical support to assess the bioavailability of novel agrochemicalsIndependently design, plan, execute and analyse experiments involving whole plants (in vivo) and plant parts (ex vivo)Generate, interpret and present scientific data through detailed reports and presentationsDeliver agreed scientific priorities in line with project timelinesEnsure all work complies with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standardsReview and improve existing protocols to enhance capability and efficiencyShare knowledge and contribute to the development of new scientific capabilitiesEssential RequirementsBSc or MSc (preferred) in Plant Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Soil Science or a related biological scienceMinimum of 2 years’ relevant laboratory‑based experience in an academic or industrial settingStrong scientific writing and verbal communication skills (fluent in English)Good organisational and time‑management skillsAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary teamsDesirable ExperienceProfessional experience in Pharmacology, Agronomy, Crop Protection, Biochemistry or Analytical ChemistryExperience with ADME studies of active ingredientsLC‑MS analysis of small moleculesHandling and analysing large datasets, including data visualisationExperience working with soil, seeds or plant physiologyUnderstanding of plant responses to biotic and abiotic stress
