Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Install new HVAC systems, including wiring, piping, and unit placement, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Inspect HVAC systems for safety and operational issues, making recommendations for necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners, explaining system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal HVAC regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and customer notes.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of residential HVAC service experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC certification or technical school training preferred.
  • Licensing & Certification: EPA 608 Certification required; state HVAC licensing (if applicable) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, ability to read and interpret technical manuals, excellent customer service skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
