Cedars is currently looking to hire several Residential Supervisors at our location in Ross, CA. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the building and helping to support Cedars residents in ways that ensure their health, safety and happiness. You will support the House Manager in maintaining a home-like environment that reflects respect and caring for both residents and staff. You will provide leadership and management to staff and will be the liaison for families. Cedars operate 24/7 and we have several available shifts.
The rate of pay is $24.50/hour, depending on experience.
As a Cedars Residential Supervisor you will:
- Provide general support, feedback and oversight to DSP staff based on established standards of practices.
- Support and assist with household management including laundry, meal preparation, medication administration, housekeeping, and yard maintenance.
- Monitor compliance with Title 17 and Title 22 when the manager is absent.
- Assist residents with all activities of daily living and help to promote independent living skills, including personal grooming and hygiene.
- Help residents to achieve their IPP/ISP goals and collect and communicate data as specified in the IPP/ISP.
Requirements
- A desire to help others achieve their potential and experience with adults with developmental disabilities is helpful.
- Caregiving experience.
- Willingness to teach and guide others.
- Ability to work well in a group and as part of a team of leaders.
- Common sense, good judgment, and a willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to use email and computer.
- Must communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- A clean California driver's license, a willingness to drive a passenger van, and a minimum of three years of driving.
- The ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ.
- Must pass both DSP I & II (or already be certified) within 12 - 24 months of hire.
- CPR and First Aid certifications (or the willingness to acquire both).
- An upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor are very helpful!
