Must cross-train to FMFH within 12 months of hire.Experience Description:Minimum of 1 year of experience plus the ability to show RCP II competency within 6 months of hire/transfer into role is required. 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care is preferred.Education Description:Associate degree from a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.Special Skills Description:Critical thinking skills are required.Licensure Description:State of Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required. For incumbents in this role prior to 7/1/21, the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will be accepted in lieu of the RRT. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. Advanced specialty credential from the NBRC or Asthma Educator Certification (AE-C) from the National Asthma Educator Certification Board (NAECB) is preferred. American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required within 6 months of hire (CHD only).
