Schedule Night shift, 3x12 hours. Job Description The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional license and with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients about their care upon discharge. Responsibilities Conduct physician prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, both invasive and non-invasive. Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal). Monitor oximetry and capnography according to policy, with routine review of patient's chest x-rays. Perform and assist with pulmonary function studies and procedures relating to respiratory care (e.g., Bronchoscopy, chest tube placement). Provide tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes. Monitor arterial puncture results and determine efficiency of ventilation. Record treatment information and communicate with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding therapy efficiencies. Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and documentation. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Qualifications include relevant licensure and experience in respiratory therapy. Certification in BLS and ACLS is required. Why ARMStaffing?
