Schedule Day Shift Job Description The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for caring for and treating patients with respiratory and cardiac illnesses. This role involves performing clinical skills to evaluate patients' physical and mental status while anticipating the needs of patients and staff. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of care for patients with COPD, asthma, and interstitial lung disease. Demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively in a group class setting. Monitor patients on ventilatory support and for any cardiopulmonary symptoms. Communicate effectively, problem-solve, and work as part of a team. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory standards and patient safety goals. Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the position. Support the hospital's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. Float to other departments where qualified to perform patient care as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy. Current Oregon RT License and Current RRT certification required.
