Position Respiratory Therapist at Cape Cod Post Acute and Healthcare Center (135-bed Sub‑Acute and Long‑Term Care facility). Full‑time opportunity; hourly rate $40‑$55 per hour; 3 years of experience required. Responsibilities Perform chest examinations on a range of patients. Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans. Provide detailed therapy, requiring significant independent judgment. Perform exams and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity and blood acidity/alkalinity. Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy. Connect patients who can't breathe to a ventilator. Educate patients and families on how to use equipment and medications. Regularly monitor patients and equipment. Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Current state licensure. Experience with trach care and ventilator management in skilled nursing home, LTACH or hospital setting. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with residents and families.
