Glendive Medical Center (GMC) is a full-service, 25-bed acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services and an attached 36-bed skilled Extended Care facility. GMC is a designated Critical Access Hospital.Respiratory therapy services at Glendive Medical Center help patients of all ages breathe easy-whether they are babies or adults. Our respiratory therapists are available to treat inpatients who suffer from chronic lung conditions, such as asthma, emphysema and acute conditions such as bronchitis and pneumonia. Respiratory Therapy can benefit patients with cystic fibrosis and lung cancer, as well as those who have experienced lung damage due to a heart attack or trauma.Respiratory therapists and assistants are a key part of our health care team, working together with other medical professionals with one goal in mind: to help patients gain control of their conditions and successfully resume daily activities. In addition to providing inpatient therapy, staff members also perform diagnostic services and outpatient testing such as; Holter/event monitors, EKG's, stress testing and pulmonary function tests as well as offer hands-on education to help patients use their inhalers and manage medications for optimum results.Glendive Medical Center is searching for a full time Respiratory Therapist - 3 days a week, 12-hour day shift with rotating call and occasional weekend.Required Education: Satisfactory completion of a respiratory therapist program from a nationally accredited respiratory therapy school required. The ability to meet NBRT registry requirements required.
