Respiratory Therapist Apply
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an ambitious Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for a top Healthcare client.
This role requires a dedicated professional to autonomously evaluate the respiratory needs of assigned patients, develop, and implement comprehensive Respiratory Care Plans. The therapist applies high-quality, continuous care to patients of all ages, operating and maintaining critical equipment in a collaborative environment focused on patient-centered outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and autonomously develop and implement the individualized Respiratory Care Plan.
- Take full responsibility for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short- and long-term mechanical ventilation.
- Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to a diverse patient population of all ages.
- Maintain all department and hospital records, accurately entering information into the hospital computer system for therapies administered.
- Demonstrate self-direction and strong independent judgment, particularly in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support each other and ensure excellent, coordinated patient care.
- Perform tasks requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving to deliver care and manage equipment.
Requirements
Education
- Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree) is required.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Experience
- Prior experience in acute care settings is strongly preferred (implied by the ventilation responsibilities).
Certifications/Licenses
- Current Florida State License as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required within six (6) months of hire.
Skills
- Proven ability to be self-directed and demonstrate strong autonomous judgment in a clinical setting.
- Expertise in the application and operation of acute care mechanical ventilators.
- Physical ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, and moving.
