Salary - $58,178 to $75,130/ year
Sign on bonus- $15,000 negotiable
Must-Haves
- Utah Respiratory Care Practitioner license upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 6 months of hire
- NBRC CRT or RRT upon hire
Job Description
How you'll contribute
- A Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role provides cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include:
- Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer.
- Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per care plan. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
- Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
- Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
- Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders. Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
- Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.
Schedule: 3x12s with rotating weekends and holidays. We have openings on both day and night shifts with shifts that run from 0445-1645 and 1645-0445.
