Where: Lincoln City, located 90 minutes from the bustling city of Portland, is ideally situated along seven miles of sandy beach on the central Oregon Coast. Why This Role Is Special: Impactful Work: As a Respiratory Therapist, you’ll provide effective respiratory care through comprehensive assessments, diagnostics, therapeutics, and patient education. Your care will be initiated by physician orders and established protocols, making a direct impact on the health and well-being of our patients. Supportive Team Environment: Our staff genuinely cares about each other, creating a responsive and lighthearted atmosphere. About Our Respiratory Therapy Department: Our Respiratory Therapy team at Samaritan Health Services delivers treatment and diagnostic services to both critical and non-critical patients across all age groups. We use evidence-based techniques to treat cardiopulmonary conditions and provide compassionate care that makes a difference in the lives of our patients every day. What You’ll Bring: Credentials: Current registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC-RRT) required. Licensing: Current Oregon Respiratory Care License required. Certifications: Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required. ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days of hire. NRP certification required within six (6) months of hire. Experience: Two (2) years of clinical experience in Respiratory Care preferred. Skills That Set You Apart: Patient Care: Apply your knowledge to provide high-quality care, recognizing symptoms, drug interactions, and preventive measures within your scope of practice. Communication: Use strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain complex issues, present information to groups, and facilitate team collaboration. Time Management: Thrive in a dynamic environment by effectively prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities under pressure. Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts constructively by handling complaints and disputes with a positive, solution-oriented approach. Social Perceptiveness: Work with diverse patient populations, understanding age-related differences in care and maintaining sensitivity to the needs and experiences of patients and their caregivers. Medical Terminology: Possess a solid understanding of medical records, terminology, procedures, and the ability to interpret policies and regulations. Why Join Us?
