Retail Floor SupervisorThe Retail Floor Supervisor oversees the successful operation of the sales floor and oversees Retail Associates assigned to the Retail Floor. Retail Floor Supervisors are keyholders and can open and close the store as required by the needs of the business. cooperation.Key Responsibilities:Operational OversightPromotes CommunityAid's sales and marketing strategies, including sales floor layout, merchandising, procurement stocking, product quality and rag out.Assists the Assistant Store Manager Retail Floor in designing and implementing seasonal store layout changes.Ensures the sales floor presentation, including recovery and signage, adheres to standards.Ensures the proper functioning of the dressing rooms, including recovery of items to the sales floor.Conducts daily floor walks, sharing insights with the Assistant Store Manager Retail Floor to ensure alignment.Communicates retail supply needs and provides feedback on the quality of product sent to the sales floor.Takes responsibility for the overall function of the store when the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager Retail Floor, Assistant Store Manager Production Clothing, or the Assistant Store Manager Front End & Production Other is not present.Customer ServiceOversees interactions on the sales floor to ensure and promote a consistent positive shopping experience and to deter theft.Handles customer complaints promptly and professionally.Cash HandlingComprehends and adheres to cash handling and management procedures.Supervises cash handling procedures, including counting cash drawers, reconciling transactions, making deposits, and conducting bank runs when serving as the Manager on Duty, while ensuring the security of the safe.Staffing, Employee Training and DevelopmentAids the Assistant Store Manager Retail Floor in overseeing staff for the Retail Floor (Retail Floor Trainer, and Retail Associates).Conducts weekly or as needed one-on-one meetings with the Retail Floor Trainer and Associates.Assists in the evaluation of potential candidates to ensure cultural alignment and position fit by conducting phone interviews and accompanying management in interviews as needed.Supports the Assistant Store Manager Retail Floor with the integration of new staff by adhering to company procedures.Assists the Retail Floor Trainer in training new Associates on their roles, responsibilities, company policies, procedures and best practices, including cross-training in other departments as needed.Communicates performance expectations, coaching for improvement and success and utilizes existing performance management tools to document conversations.Assists the Store Manager in the annual review process by sharing input on the employees' performance.Employee Engagement and MoralePromotes employee engagement through regular huddles and team meetings, one-on-one check-ins, special events, and prioritizing employee recognition.Compliance and Regulatory ActivitiesEnsures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, as well as CommunityAid policies and procedures, and ensures these are clearly communicated and followed by Retail Floor staff.Facilities and Logistics Safety Maintains a safe environment for both employees and customers.Ensures cleanliness and organization on the sales floor.Regularly monitors for safety, promptly addressing and taking measures to correct unsafe work conditions.Additional Duties or Responsibilities Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by a member of the Store Management Team.Provides support to other departments as needed or as directed by a preferredMinimum of six months retail experience in a service-oriented business is desirableExperience effectively managing in a fast-paced, professional work environmentThe ability to properly handle and maintain confidential informationFlexibility with scheduling and availability to work evenings and weekends on a regular basisProficient in reading, writing, and speaking EnglishMust have a valid Driver's LicenseMust be eligible to work in the U.S without sponsorshipAdherence to consistent attendance and weekly hours expectations based on full-time/part-time/seasonal non-exempt(hourly) status
