The Opportunity

As a Retail Loan Specialist, youll play a key role with our lending team to deliver exceptional service and ensure a smooth, accurate, and efficient experience for every customer. You will be asked to prepare compliant loan documents for consumer, home equity, an in-house real estate loans along with other loan tasks. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help maintain compliance, strengthen customer relationships, and support the success of our lending team.


Count On To:

  • Assist customers with questions and payment requests on their loans.
  • Work with a centralized processing team to serve our branches with processing residential real estate loans.
  • Serve the Sioux Center lending team with processing personal and auto loans.
  • Verify all loan documents are compliant with regulations and bank policy.
  • Fund the loan by boarding it onto our core system, disbursing funds to appropriate parties, paying bills, and verifying all liens and mortgages are filed.
  • Scan documents to our digital file cabinets.
  • Meet important deadlines and stay organized.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Education: One year of college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiar with loan processing software (e.g., Navigator, LaserPro); skilled in managing digital filing systems.
  • Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, strong communication and customer service abilities; collaborative team player; problem-solving skills.
  • Other: Sound judgment, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to take on additional duties. Bilingual preferred but not required.
