Retail Pharmacist Opportunity At St. Mary's HospitalCome join St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee as a retail pharmacist. This per diem position is available for days, from 9a to 5p, at our prime healthcare facility in St. Mary's Hospital. Located in Kankakee, IL 60901, this role offers a competitive compensation range of $71.02 to $71.02.As a retail pharmacist, you will assist the retail pharmacy manager in outpatient pharmacy operations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy, while ensuring patient safety. Your scope of patient care may include general medicine/surgical, intensive care services, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, emergency care, oncology, perioperative, geriatrics, and outpatient services including immunizations, meds to beds, and coordination with pharmacotherapy, population health, and specialty pharmacy teams.Qualifications include a current state registered pharmacist license, a B.S. degree in pharmacy or PharmD, at least 3 years of previous pharmacy retail experience preferred, previous retail supervisory or PIC experience preferred, strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills required, experience with pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required, APhA immunization certification and BLS required, experience working with ambulatory pharmacy teams preferred, and 340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility).St. Mary's Hospital is committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment regardless of actual and perceived race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, age, disability, military status, genetic information or any other basis protected by applicable law.
