Retail Pharmacy Liaison Apply
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION Under the direct supervision of the Director of Retail and Specialty Pharmacy, and in compliance with all applicable departmental and hospital policies, as a Retail Pharmacy Liaison this position will facilitate communication between the prescriber, pharmacy, patient, and help people obtain and properly use prescribed medications. This position will provide education and customer service to encourage the patients to utilize the in-house pharmacy services provide at BMC, and support the patients in adhering to their medication regimens. In this role, your responsibilities are focused in identifying and addressing gaps in care, as well as having administrative duties that involve data management, reporting, and pharmacy operations. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) Experience: Minimum of 2 years# experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, working with hospital based clinic or Hospital Pharmacy preferred. Education and Training: High School graduate or high school equivalency certificate required. Technician training program preferred with National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in process. Must be fully trained and proficient in all functions of the Pharmacy Technician job. Documentation of this achievement demonstrated through competency certification and the Department level. License, Certification # Registration: DRIVER - Driver#s License PHARM TECH CERT - Certified Pharmcy Tech by PTCB Other Requirements: Must be able to work independently with limited (although directly under the Employee Pharmacy Supervisor) supervision required.
