Are you a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about continuous learning, business growth, and long-term career development? Do you enjoy helping organizations and their employees achieve financial wellness and retirement readiness?
Gatewood Wealth Solutions, a leading comprehensive wealth management and retirement consulting firm, is seeking a growth-minded, collaborative team member to join our Retirement Plan Consulting Team.
Depending on your background, this position can be structured as either a Retirement Plan Coordinator (for early-career professionals) or a Retirement Plan Consultant (for experienced practitioners). You’ll work closely with our advisors, consultants, and investment committee to design, build, and protect the retirement futures of our clients and their employees. Consultant-level professionals will also play a key role in business development and firm growth.
Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and participate in client meetings, including fiduciary reviews, benchmarking, compliance discussions, and participant education sessions.
- Manage meeting logistics, take detailed notes, track follow-up items, and ensure accountability across internal and external partners.

- Partner with the firm’s Tax & Accounting and Wealth Planning teams to integrate plan design and tax strategies.
- Assist in business development efforts, RFPs, and relationship management activities.
- Actively contribute to business development initiatives — including proposal preparation, prospect meetings, and relationship-building with centers of influence (COIs). Consultant-level team members are expected to lead or co-lead business development opportunities and help expand Gatewood’s retirement consulting footprint.
- Embrace technology, including AI and automation tools, to enhance deliverables and operational efficiency.
- Participate in special projects that expand your skills and understanding of institutional advisory work.
