JOB SUMMARY

A global, industry leading SaaS company has an opening for a Revenue Accountant to join their team in Waltham, MA. The Revenue Accountant will report to the Senior Revenue Manager & have the primary responsibility of perform month-end closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations that relate to revenue, unbilled A/R, and deferred revenue. The Revenue Accountant will also get involved with reporting, invoicing, and compliance.

Up to $45/hr DOE.


The role requires someone to be local to be the Boston area and will be in the office a few days each week.

Job Description:
  • Perform month-end closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations that relate to revenue, unbilled A/R, and deferred revenue.
  • Process high volume of customer invoices out of the Salesforce Billing system, which includes identifying and addressing any potential issues that may arise.
  • Support the Sr. Revenue Accountant in working with the Companys professional services organization and review and post the Companys professional services and training revenue on a monthly basis
  • Prepare all monthly, quarterly, and year end close information and respond to all audit requests related to revenue and deferred revenue
  • Support and preparation of financial reporting for team on a monthly basis
  • Assist on other revenue team items such as royalty invoice processing, answering and resolving inquiries from internal teams

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Minimum 1-3 years of revenue experience along with general accounting experience
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
  • Advanced MS Excel skills is required
  • Extremely detail oriented, problem solver, and takes accountability for work performed
  • Professional self-starter, able to work independently, and has strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with others
  • Willingness to take on more responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and personal judgment
  • International business and foreign currency experience a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems required; NetSuite and Salesforce are pluses
