Position Overview This role requires someone to come to our Corporate office in Oak Brook, IL, a few times per month. Position Summary: This position supervises all aspects of the revenue cycle with focus on claims management, payment recovery, insurance verification and follow‑up. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises staff and monitors employee performance; performs employee productivity audits. Assists the department manager with Human Resources related issues, identifies staffing needs, interviews, and hires staff, and initiates disciplinary actions leading to termination when necessary. Works closely with management to ensure Revenue Cycle employees are kept up to date on changes in payor regulations (i.e., portal changes, methodology changes etc.), related fee schedules and process improvements. Responsible for implementation and training of billing software and provides ongoing education as necessary. Provides on‑going performance feedback, address problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggest ways to develop skills. Works with the department manager to develop strategic plans and programs for the Revenue Cycle team and ensure that goals and objectives on the team are properly defined and clearly established. Monitors the workflow to achieve highest levels of productivity for an engaged workforce. Manages work queue performance by all parties, including departmental and third‑party vendors. Ensures department is responsive to patient financial service needs and patient complaints are resolved. Qualifications Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred Work Experience: Three years of Revenue Cycle experience required Certification/Licensure: None required Knowledge and Technical Skills: Proficient with Revenue Cycle systems Proficient knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding systems Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to understand and follow HIPAA regulations Language Skills Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently Physical Demands The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
