About the Role
In this RF Engineer II role, you'll leverage your expertise to support critical aerospace and defense projects. Working within a collaborative team, you'll be responsible for completing and submitting regulatory forms, such as DD1494 and others, to the FAA and other regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with NTIA and ITU standards. While the RF design is managed by our RF engineers, your focus will be on navigating complex regulatory requirements, understanding RF designs in sufficient detail, and translating technical information into submissions that meet stringent compliance standards.

This position is hands-on, requiring deep familiarity with NTIA and ITU requirements, but is not a management role. Consider this role akin to a Project Engineer, where your attention to detail and understanding of RF design and compliance will be essential to support seamless regulatory processes.

Location Options: Louisville, Colorado, or Centennial, Colorado.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in RF Engineering or related Engineering discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with NTIA and ITU Standards: Strong understanding of requirements and regulations in RF environments, particularly with NTIA and ITU.
  • Familiarity with Regulatory Submissions: Experience filling and submitting DD1494 forms and working knowledge of FAA and other regulatory submission processes.
  • Knowledge of RF Engineering: Proficient in RF modeling, analysis techniques, and tools to interpret design requirements.
  • Collaborative Experience: Proven experience working within multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Security Clearance: Willingness and ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SMC-S-016 Standards for testing launch, upper-stage, and space vehicles.
  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiar with Lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., White/Orange/Green Belt).
  • AI&T Experience: Familiarity with commercial space vehicle assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) from demonstration to category-A missions.
  • Product Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality assurance principles and experience managing product non-conformances.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance: U.S. Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is highly desirable.
