Rf Field Engineer Apply
The Field Engineer role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), performing network analysis, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents to ensure maximum network uptime. This role requires a solid understanding of RF systems, data analysis, and client-facing professionalism.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) networks.
- Independently handle the assembly, programming, and optimization of DAS network.
- Perform annual network analysis at client locations as part of Nationwide maintenance and monitoring program.
- Collect, analyze, and document data from site surveys using PCTEL scanners and other RF measurement tools
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) of monitored systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Utilize advanced network testing and diagnostic equipment, including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, PIM analyzers, and fiber optic power meters to diagnose issues within fiber optic and coaxial cabling infrastructure
- Independently resolve incidents and troubleshooting tickets, ensuring timely resolution, maximizing network uptime, and maintaining customer satisfaction
- Apply RF formulas and mathematical principles to solve complex RF design challenges and field scenarios.
- Interact directly with clients, providing professional, courteous service; candidates must exhibit a high level of professionalism and a personable, customer-focused attitude.

Requirements
Required skills and qualifications:
- Ability to read Network Diagrams and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to utilize basic hand tools and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working on ladders.
- This role requires national travel 50% to 75% of the time
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of RF theory, networking, and telecommunications, with experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Experience with fiber optics, wireless communications, and cellular technologies (LTE, 5G NR) is a plus.
