The Role:
As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a RFP Specialist to join our Contracting team. The RFP Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and developing sales-generating responses to requests for proposals/information (RFPs/RFIs) and bids from both commercial and government customers. This involves ensuring alignment with customer and company requirements while adhering to company policies. The RFP Specialist leverages project management skills, in-depth knowledge of company products and services, and collaborates with subject matter experts. This role demands exceptional planning, organizational, and communication skills. Sales or marketing experience, along with proficiency in project management, is advantageous.
The Responsibilities
RFP Management
Conceptualize, develop, and validate responses to Requests for Proposals, spanning both commercial and government segments.
Conduct and coordinate planning sessions involving representatives from diverse disciplines (Contracting, Sales, Marketing, Service, etc) in support of response development.
Establish and maintain a knowledge base of product content to be utilized in RFP/Bid responses.
Compile all response components into a final document, ensuring compliance with customer guidelines and timelines.
Provide valuable input on company policy and procedures throughout the entire RFP process.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
The Individual
Required:
Bachelors degree is required
Ability to learn and demonstrate working knowledge of company products, services, and policies.
This position requires strong skills in attention to detail, resourcefulness, and follow through in the development of customer focused responses to RFPs and bids.
Capability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities within time constraints.
Superior verbal and written communication skills are required in this position.
Proven ability to follow established procedures, and willingness to revise procedures for process improvements or business changes.
Preferred:
A Masters Degree or MBA is preferred.
Proposal management, analytical, or marketing experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
Ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Strong understanding of computer skills. Must be able to quickly learn new programs and/or modifications to the existing system
Highly analytical and detail oriented
Excellent communication (speaking and listening) and interpersonal skills
Exceptional follow up skills
Thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Works seamlessly in a team environment.

Key Working Relationships:
Internal: Sales, Contracting, Marketing, Legal, and Finance departments.
The Work Environment:
This professional will operate in a typical office environment. Must possess the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $53,000 to $96,000 and is eligible for the Global Bonus Plan. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
