As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Risk Analyst to help protect our portfolio, support our merchants, and strengthen our risk strategy. About the Role As a Risk Analyst, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding Simpay’s merchant portfolio. You’ll monitor transactions, detect fraud trends, and make real-time decisions that directly impact the business. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where your analytical thinking and judgment will be critical to minimizing risk and supporting sustainable growth. What You’ll Do Analyze merchant activity and assess risk across our portfolio Perform re-underwriting reviews for accounts with increased financial exposure Monitor transaction trends, including volume, chargebacks, refunds, and suspicious behavior Make real-time funding decisions and document risk rationale Investigate unusual or high-risk transactions and validate activity when needed Place accounts on reserve and take action to mitigate potential losses Partner with internal teams (Underwriting, Sales, Support) to provide risk insights Communicate directly with merchants regarding account status, restrictions, and risk decisions Assist in recovery efforts and manage accounts that violate agreements Stay ahead of fraud trends and proactively identify emerging risks What We’re Looking For 2–3 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud detection, or payments/financial services Experience with card-not-present (eCommerce, MOTO) environments preferred Strong understanding of chargebacks, disputes, and card network rules Familiarity with merchant underwriting and onboarding processes Experience with Fiserv (First Data) is a strong plus Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and transaction data Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) What Makes You a Great Fit You thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment You’re highly analytical but also comfortable making real-time decisions You communicate clearly and confidently—both internally and with merchants You’re detail-oriented, organized, and accountable You bring a positive, team-first attitude and strong sense of integrity Compensation $21.50 per hour , with flexibility based on experience Why Join Simpay?
