You’ll monitor transactions, detect fraud trends, and make real-time decisions that directly impact the business. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where your analytical thinking and judgment will be critical to minimizing risk and supporting sustainable growth.What You’ll DoAnalyze merchant activity and assess risk across our portfolioPerform re-underwriting reviews for accounts with increased financial exposureMonitor transaction trends, including volume, chargebacks, refunds, and suspicious behaviorMake real-time funding decisions and document risk rationaleInvestigate unusual or high-risk transactions and validate activity when neededPlace accounts on reserve and take action to mitigate potential lossesPartner with internal teams (Underwriting, Sales, Support) to provide risk insightsCommunicate directly with merchants regarding account status, restrictions, and risk decisionsAssist in recovery efforts and manage accounts that violate agreementsStay ahead of fraud trends and proactively identify emerging risksWhat We’re Looking For2–3 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud detection, or payments/financial servicesExperience with card-not-present (eCommerce, MOTO) environments preferredStrong understanding of chargebacks, disputes, and card network rulesFamiliarity with merchant underwriting and onboarding processesExperience with Fiserv (First Data) is a strong plusSolid analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and transaction dataProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)What Makes You a Great FitYou thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentYou’re highly analytical but also comfortable making real-time decisionsYou communicate clearly and confidently—both internally and with merchantsYou’re detail-oriented, organized, and accountableYou bring a positive, team-first attitude and strong sense of integrityCompensation$21.50 per hour, with flexibility based on experienceWhy Join Simpay?Be part of a growing fintech company with real momentumWork in a collaborative, high-energy environmentGain exposure to multiple areas of the businessMake a direct impact on company performance and risk strategyWork ScheduleStandard hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with flexibility around weekends and holidays as business needs evolve.
