We have partnered with a financial company in the New York, NY area to provide them with a Risk & Control Analyst. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized must haves for the Risk & Control Analyst:

#1. Strong operational risk management experience within a financial institution, including RCSA, control testing, and maintaining risk registers.

#2. Ability to analyze risk data, identify trends, assess control effectiveness, and conduct deep-dive reviews to recommend mitigation measures.

#3. Solid understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory expectations, and processes such as vendor risk, model risk, scenario analysis, and new product approvals.

#4. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills to challenge first-line assessments, prepare clear reports, and present findings to senior management.

#5. Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Requirements for the Risk & Control Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of prior operational risk management experience with a financial institution.
  • Integrative thinking skills, basic risk management knowledge, good organizational, communication and influencing skills.
  • Analytical and thorough approach to form defensible conclusions from risk assessments.
  • Able to present to and respond effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, able to calmly manage conflict and pressure in a demanding, high-volume environment.
  • Able to be flexible and capable of prioritizing based on changing internal or external demands.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Other Key Requirements:

  • Hybrid work scheduled, at least 2 days in office per week.
  • No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
