Rn Cardiac Telemetry Apply
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an RN Cardiac Telemetry for a top Healthcare client.
This position is responsible for providing specialized, high-quality nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients within a fast-paced acute care environment. The role requires expert monitoring, assessment, and intervention skills to manage complex cardiac conditions while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary patient care team to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct, specialized nursing care to an assigned patient population on the cardiac telemetry unit.
- Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms, promptly notifying physicians of any critical changes.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on critical thinking and decisive judgment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards of practice.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care and transfers.
- Educate patients and their families regarding their condition, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documentation of patient status and interventions.
Requirements
Education
- Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent RN experience is required.
- Previous experience in a Cardiac or Telemetry environment is Required.
Certifications/Licenses
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or a compact state is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred; required within six (6) months of hire.
Skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service abilities, including effective listening and professional communication.
- Physical ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
