Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift

Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, initiative, and flexibility while working with minimal supervision. This role requires excellent triage skills, effective communication with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and the ability to adapt to changing patient needs in an emergency setting.
Key Responsibilities-
Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients in the emergency department.

Perform rapid and accurate patient triage to determine the urgency of care required.

Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to physicians and care team members.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.

Demonstrate flexibility by cross-training and assisting in other nursing departments when needed.

Float to Medical-Surgical units as required based on patient care demands.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (active and in good standing).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred.

Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred.

Must successfully pass a nursing medication test.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to maintain professional, respectful, and effective interactions with patients, families, staff, and external agencies.

Basic computer proficiency required.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a high-acuity environment.

Willingness to float to other departments when operational needs require.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach.

Contract assignment with night shifts scheduled Thursday through Saturday.
