Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.This department provides triage, treatment and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting. If the department is designated as a trauma site, the hours and expenses related to triage and treatment of trauma patients is included. However, the hours and expenses related to the administration and support of the Trauma program and it's services (i.e. Trauma registry, trauma coordinators) should not be included here.

Night shift, 3 x 12, 36 hours/week, 1830 to 0700; PALS, ACLS BLS, NRP required. Minimum 1 year busy ED experience, prefer 3-5 years. Small ED with moderate to high acuity. 8 beds. Facility is a Cardiac Center of excellence and tertiary receiving. stoke center with transfer of intervention.
