How many licensed beds? 96

Trauma Designation? No

Teaching Hospital? Teaching system, but we do not have residents at LMC

Chest Pain Center? No

Stroke Center? Yes, primary

Unit Information:

Beds: 16

Census? Average patients/day? Average daily census is 10

Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of ICU experience

Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with strong ICU experience

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, stroke, etc. (MICU type patients)

Patient Ratios:

RN: 2:1 for ICU patients, 3:1 for IMC patients

LPN (if applicable): N/A

CNA: 1 CNA will typically assist on the unit, sometimes 2

Required Licensure & Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Skills required:

Art line management, vasoactive medication titration, vent management and weaning (with RT support), chest tube management, critical thinking

Support within the Department:
