Unit Notes - Unit: ICU - # beds: 8 beds avg census is 3-4 patients - Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS, dysrhythimia certification through AHA (can be done online by completing course material and exam, print certificate upon passing exam), TNCC preferred - Ratios: 1 to 1-2 - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: Yes - they take patient assignment - Nurse Aides: No - do have Unit clerk - Weekend Requirement: every other or 4 weekend shifts in 4 weeks - Holidays work in perm staff rotation - Scrub Color: navy - Tele: phillips - central monitoring tech monitors ER as well - Vents: Via or Hamiltons - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Not 24/7 - they have to be available 24/7 but not actually in house
