Shift: Varied 8-hour shifts (Days 07:30 15:30, Evenings 15:00 23:30, Nights 23:00 07:30)
Holiday Coverage: Required
Overtime: May be required; no guarantee of shift preference

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Long Term Care (LTC) RN to provide comprehensive nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. This contract role involves assessments, treatments, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform resident assessments and develop individualized care plans.

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.

  • Notify MD/NP of pertinent clinical changes or concerns.

  • Manage admissions and discharges of residents.

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).

  • Perform specialized care including gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound vac care, CPAP care, and other assigned duties.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems (EPIC).

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure resident well-being and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
  • Active state RN license required upon acceptance of offer; candidates without Hawaii license must obtain one prior to start.

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care.

  • BLS/BCLS certification required.

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and potential overtime.

  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Bilingual skills not required.

Additional Information
  • Candidate must attend employee health appointment prior to starting assignment.

  • Hours and shifts are variable; no guarantee of preferred shifts.
