Avant Tech is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Manager for the Women's & Infants' Services Labor and Delivery unit. In this leadership role, you will oversee the clinical operations of a busy labor and delivery department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care for mothers and newborns. You will lead a team of skilled nursing professionals, promote a collaborative environment, and drive initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the Labor and Delivery unit to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional development and teamwork.
  • Implement and evaluate protocols, guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing levels.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and experience.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights and needs are met throughout the labor and delivery process.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in maternal and neonatal care.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery or Women's Health.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a nursing management role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, labor and delivery standards, and quality metrics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Current certifications in BLS and ACLS; NRP certification preferred.
