General job duties. Types of procedures required. Provide nursing cares to adult patients on a 32-bed medical-surgical unit. Perform head-to-toe and focused assessments, administer medications, communicate with interdisciplinary team, update patient and family on plan of care, advocate for patient as needed, and document all cares. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. EPIC, OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, Language Line, Zebra phones. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Thorough attention to detail, understanding of a variety of disease processes, ability to communicate clearly and work well on a team. Preferred minimum 2 years of bedside nursing experience in a comparably sized hospital. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS - mist be AHA. RN or compact state license. Shift or schedule requirements. 12-hour shifts, rotating day/night, every other weekend, every other holiday. Floating to over units/departments. May be required to float to other med-surg units at SMCF and Broadway Sanford. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 32-bed unit, all single rooms. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. 0700-2300: 1:4-5 2300-0700: 1:5-6 Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. 8-hour classroom training in the LEAD Center followed by 24 hours of unit training. |
Comments:12 hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday. Will float to all MS units on all 3 campuses in Fargo as needed. Can also do straight nights. 36 or 48 hours (OT after 48) cannot take traveler living within 60 miles of facility. Can take 61 to 80 at a local rate. Local rate will reduce client bill rate by xx8.00
