Rn Med Surg Apply
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an RN Med Surg for a top Healthcare client.
This core position delivers direct, high-quality patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit, managing a diverse caseload of patients with various acute and chronic illnesses. The role requires strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and decisive judgment to coordinate and implement individualized care plans within a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to assigned medical-surgical patients, adhering to established protocols.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, interpret clinical data, and report changes in patient condition promptly to the care team.
- Implement physician orders by administering medications and treatments accurately and safely.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate all aspects of patient care.
- Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and recovery strategies.
- Maintain accurate, concise, and timely documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR.
- Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment to prioritize and manage patient workload with minimal supervision.
Requirements
Education
- Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent RN experience is required.
- Candidates with experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTACH) and Home Health settings are encouraged to apply.
Certifications/Licenses
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or a compact state is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred; required within six (6) months of hire.

- Strong customer service abilities, including effective listening and professional communication.
- Physical ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
