Job Summary: TEMP POSITION: MED SURG RN - NIGHTS
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Medical-Surgical department, serving patients from post-partum neonates to geriatrics.
- Perform a wide range of general nursing duties, including medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric care.
- Opportunity to expand skills in post-partum care, infusion and wound therapies, and cross-training in Emergency Department and/or PACU.
- Adhere to infection control principles and patient safety techniques.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, preventing adverse reactions.
- Utilize critical thinking skills in rapidly changing situations.
- Deliver care in a rural hospital setting, managing a diverse patient population with varying needs and acuities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and composure in stressful situations.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Maintain reliability and timeliness with the assigned work schedule.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned by management.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Anticipated schedule: 7 days on/7 days off, night shifts (6PM to 6AM), or 6x12-hour shifts per pay period.
- Temporary position, with possible transition to permanent role.
- Starting pay: $31 $44.88/hour, DOE.
- $10,000 sign-on bonus for permanent, full-time hires (with 2-year service agreement).
Minimum Requirements:
- Current, unencumbered Utah or compact state RN license.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within one year.
- Willingness to earn NRP certification within one year of hire.
