Job Summary: RN OR RNFA - Robotics

- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) specializing in DaVinci Robotics
- Location: Strong Memorial Hospital
- Schedule: 36 or 48 hours/week, Monday-Friday day shifts, evening on-call until 11pm as needed, no weekends, rotating holiday coverage

- Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare team for safe, optimal surgical outcomes
- Practice perioperative nursing in both RNFA and staff RN roles (scrubbing and circulating)
- Assist in robotic surgeries: Urology, GYN, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, General Surgery
- Adhere to surgeon direction during operative phases
- Perform as OR staff RN when not assigned as RNFA

- Required Qualifications:
- Current NY Registered Nurse License
- Completion of accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification
- Minimum 2 years OR experience (Level 1 trauma preferred)
- DaVinci robotic surgery experience (required)
- BLS (American Heart Association only)
- Ability to both scrub and circulate in the OR

- Preferred Qualifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Experience with EPIC charting system
