- Oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model.
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism.
- Create care plans reflecting values to aid in resolving issues.
- Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
- Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan, delegate tasks, and follow up promptly.
- Use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff.
- Achieve goals through teamwork, contribute to peers' development, and show community service commitment.
- Understand nursing and patient care standards as well as procedures and laws in your area.
- Be proficient in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common meds, and their side effects.
