Location: Rockford, IL 61103
Assignment Start Date: 11/10/2023
8 weeks | Days| 12-hour shift | 36 hours weekly

- Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice acts.
- Documents according to standards of care.
- Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction.
- Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
- Utilizes clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
- Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience: Must have Neuro, Cardiac, and vent experience;
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:
- IL RN licensure required
- must have CPR, ACLS & NIHSS
EMR System: EPIC experience preferred
Shift: Days, 7A-7P; will require every other weekend & holiday and 12-hour shifts. May be required to float to the Step-Down ICU unit.
Vaccinations: Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and the flu vaccine.
