Rubber Lining Quality Inspector Apply

Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility
Work closely with the plant to improve quality and reviews product consistency
Help manage, mentor, coach, and train team members
Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure all members of the team are aware of the safety policies to provide a safe workplace
Support safety and housekeeping
Encourage and promote the operation of a continuous improvement environment
Participate and supports safety, quality, and production meetings
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health policies, procedures, company policies, and work instructions
Inspect and ensure workmanship meets government, industry, customer, and company quality requirements
Participate in root-cause investigations, and corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence
Ensure that the latest instructions and equipment are used when conducting lining
stripping, lining inspections, in existing cars and new applications
Assure all cars leaving the facility are completed to the full expectation of the customer and regulatory agencies
Ensure equipment calibration is current and in good condition
Schedule inspections with plant manager to meet schedules and maintain work flow through the shop
Perform inspections of lining removal, lining repairs, new lining applications, pre and post lining cure using the latest instructions, and document them accordingly
Support and contribute in all site internal and external audits
Maintain all inspection certifications
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:
Minimum 5-year experience with rubber lining or rail car repair shop experience
High school or GED degree. Experience may be substituted for formal education
Supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge of the Federal Railroad Administration's regulations governing the inspection and test of rail cars, and the Association of American Railroads
Interchange Rule
Strong organizational and time management skills
Leadership skills preferred
Written and oral communication skills
Computer proficiency
Valid TX drivers license
