Job Description

Seeking Safety Coordinator for large MEP Fabrication Shop supporting a Data Center in Conesville, Ohio.


Compensation: This is a salaried role. Pay is dependent on experience.

Job Site: Fabrication shop with potential to fill in on site as needed.


Day to Day Activities/Expectations:

  • Tours and inspects fabrication facilities, to ensure compliance with company, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Partners with Operations management to mitigate risks. Reports concerns to safety senior management. Ensures Enforcement of OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures. Provides recommendations for correcting non-compliance issues. Ensures cited issues are corrected within designated timeframe.
  • Maintains all site required documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports and training logs. Uses information to track trends and injury rates. Develops current and future loss control strategies and implements corrective actions to prevent similar incidents.
  • Provides emergency response to employees as needed. Participates in and documents information for the investigation of accidents and injuries and submits data to regulatory agencies as required.
  • Contributes to updating training materials and manages employee training as necessary.
  • Leads and manages ad-hoc safety projects


Required/preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health or Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in construction safety.
  • 1+ years of MEWP training experience.
  • DOT safety preferred
  • Certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid required.
  • OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr required required.
  • OSHA 500, NFPA 70 E,
  • CHST, ASP, or CSP certifications preferred.
