Location: New Prague, MN, United States, 56071 Company: Chart Industries Ensuring Chart’s Success… The Safety Coordinator will assist the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager with day-to-day HSE related activities. This includes regular and frequent inspection of equipment and facilities, and handling/disposition of hazardous waste. This position will be a mid shift as follows: Monday - Thursday; 10am-7pm; Fridays 10-4pm What Will You Do? Monitor the company’s safety standards in accordance with OSHA and State Regulations Train and assist others (Area Managers, Coordinators, and employees to complete their Safety responsibilities (Inspections, Compliance, Follow safety rules, etc.) Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations Work closely with production workers/supervisory personnel in evaluating production activities and creating a safe work environment, while looking for continuous improvement opportunities Assuring regulatory compliance in areas of policies, training, equipment and environmental control Evaluation and monitoring of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Assist with incident investigations to determine root causes and help develop corrective actions Investigate Near Misses with employees to determine root cause and report to Manager Walk the campus looking for any potential risk and work with local staff to mitigate the risk Coordination of emergency safety drills Monitor safety performance in the workplace and provide feedback to employees and management Provide safety orientation and training to new employees and ongoing staff as required Environmental audits Environmental documentation Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… This position will require the ability to move around the production floor several hours each day. Lift up to 25 pounds. Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office and industrial setting.
