Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to champion safety initiatives across our pits and construction sites. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that promote a secure and healthy work environment for all employees. Your expertise will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations while fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement. Join us to make a tangible impact on workplace safety and employee well-being through dynamic training, rigorous inspections, and effective risk management. Duties Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations. Develop, deliver, and document engaging safety training sessions focused on OSHA requirements, first aid procedures, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and occupational health best practices. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training logs, and workers' compensation claims in accordance with legal requirements. Coordinate emergency response procedures, including first aid response plans and workers' compensation law adherence. Collaborate with management to create and update safety policies that promote a safe manufacturing environment aligned with industry standards. Stay current on evolving safety regulations and industry best practices to continuously enhance the company's EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, workers' compensation law, and occupational health principles. Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on safety program development and implementation. Excellent report writing skills for documenting incidents, inspections, training activities, and compliance audits. Ability to conduct effective root cause analysis to identify underlying issues contributing to safety incidents. Skilled in delivering engaging training & development sessions related to workplace safety topics such as first aid, CPR, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures. Familiarity with report writing tools and safety management software to track compliance metrics. Effective communicator capable of fostering a culture of safety awareness among diverse teams.
