Overview We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead Maybury’s efforts in the areas of personal safety, health, environmental, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in promoting our safety-first culture by developing and supporting safety-related policies and procedures. Key responsibilities for this role include: Responds to all safety complaints, company vehicle and personal injury accidents, property damage, and near-miss incidents. Conducts investigations and implements corrective action and safety incentive programs. Conducts safety drills, testing, inspections, and facility audits to ensure compliance and detects existing or potential hazards. Recommends corrective or preventative measures and works with management to develop and implement improvements. Leads Safety Committee and works with our safety team to implement consistent, standardized processes and policies to promote a safe workplace and reduce the frequency and severity of accidents and injuries. Conducts training programs for all new and existing associates to ensure understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations, as well as to increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness. Monitors driving practices and behaviors for all Maybury drivers to promote a culture of safe driving. Collaborates with managers to coach and address unsafe driving and recognizes and rewards safe driving records to positively reinforce these practices. Manages all company vehicle accident claims by working with the company’s insurance carrier, the driver, and any other related parties. Conducts hazard assessments to determine necessary PPE for each job or task; distributes and provides training on its use and care. Periodically evaluates the PPE program's effectiveness and updates as needed. Manages OSHA reporting and all contracts and requirements with third-party compliance vendors hired by our customers. Ensures all contractor documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Qualifications At least three years of experience in environmental, health, and safety administration. Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or related field preferred. Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local environmental laws. Demonstrated success implementing safety programs that reduce incident rates and support a safety-first culture. Excellent communication and training abilities. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Must be proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Certification to conduct OSHA 10 and 30 training is preferred. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving history are required.
