Then this Safety Manager could be the right fit for you.Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety policies, procedures, and standardsLead and manage safety inspection and auditing programs to ensure compliance and risk mitigationOversee vehicle accident and workers' compensation claims processes, including investigations and resolutionEnsure full compliance and maintenance of Driver Qualification Files in accordance with regulatory requirementsDesign, evaluate, and enhance safety programs and policies to align with organizational goals and industry best practicesAssess and recommend improvements to insurance programs and risk management strategiesTrack, analyze, and communicate key safety metrics to drive continuous improvement and ROI on safety initiativesCollaborate with all divisions to integrate safety practices into standard operating proceduresOversee DOT compliance programs for drivers and mechanics, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulationsManage and maintain the Hazardous Materials Safety ProgramStay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging safety technologiesConduct and lead regular safety meetings in accordance with company policyPerform accident investigations (on-site and/or remote), including root cause analysis and corrective actionsUtilize internal and external benchmarks to measure and improve safety performance and ROIScreen, onboard, and train drivers and employees on safety practices and compliance requirementsPartner with leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiencyExecute responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptionsEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations, including:DOT (Department of Transportation)FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration)CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability)OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)Federal, state, and local regulatory agenciesDepartment of Homeland SecuritySkills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related fieldProven experience in a senior safety or operations leadership role within a multi-site environment (transportation/logistics preferred)Strong leadership, team development, and performance management skillsSolid financial acumen with the ability to analyze data and drive business decisionsIn-depth knowledge of transportation safety regulations and compliance standardsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsProficiency with industry-related systems, tools, and technologyAbility to travel regionally as neededBenefits:Dental insurance.Health insurance.Paid Time Off.401(K).401(K) Matching.Vision insurance.Direct Hire.Salary Range: $75K-$95K annually
